A notebook, built quietly, for a very specific kind of student.
Prescribed began in a second-year hostel room in Bengaluru, at 2 a.m., during a Pathology revision block. The founder — a medical student — couldn't find a single notebook that felt like it belonged on a doctor's desk. Everything was either loud, plastic, or forgettable.
Chapter one
We started with the paper.
Six months of testing GSM weights and finishes with a small bindery in Bengaluru. We wanted a page that felt like a good clinic — bright, quiet, honest. 100 GSM. Acid-free. Fountain-pen safe. The rest of the notebook was designed around it.
Chapter two
Then we templated it.
Every subject studies differently. Anatomy wants space to draw. Pharmacology wants tables. Medicine wants a case-sheet skeleton. So every Prescribed notebook is templated to the way MBBS students actually study — never generic.
And we made it belong on your desk.
Cotton cloth covers. Gold foil, but restrained. A ribbon bookmark. An elastic closure. A pocket at the back for the reminders you don't want to lose. Every part of Prescribed is small, considered, and quiet — the way a doctor's desk should be.
We're not a Shopify template with a stethoscope on it. We're a slow brand for a fast profession — printed in India, in small runs, sold directly.
